Lg lcd power board

Maybe the inverter board for the screen issue- the power issue seems to be LG has power board design flaw

Hi, September 2008 and still problems happening with the LG screens. Mine is a Flatron W1942T.

I hit the screen as suggested (my old mum was a great believer in " if it won't work kick it", this applied to anything electrical, tele, vacuum cleaner etc.,) and guess what? my old mum was right. The screen came on.

Hope this works if it happens again. I'd turned everything off because of an electrical/thunder storm. Won't do that again.

Does your desktop/PC display show anything before the monitor goes into power save mode? If nothing comes up, its possible that you have a loose VGA connection or that your video card/motherboard are defective in some ways. Try using a different monitor.

If the other monitor works fine with your computer, try changing/lowering the screen resolution. If in XP right-click on the desktop and go to Properties, and select the tab for display settings and adjust the resolution. If in Vista/Win7,
right-click the desktop and select Screen Resolution/Display Settings
and adjust it there. Then check and see if your LG monitor works on
it.

If the other monitor also doesn't show any display, most likely the problem is either with your video cable or your PCs video card/motherboard, not the monitor.

Hope that helps. Good luck
