What amp would be better to use with what speakers/sub? I have a KAC-7202 kenwood 920W maximum power (150wX2 RMS, 4ohms) (230wX2 RMS 2ohms) and then the other amp I have is a Alpine MRP-M500 mono power (500w RMS x 1 2 ohms) 300w RMS x 1 4 ohms. Then the I have One alpine type R SWR-12D4 (4ohms+4ohms) 1000watts RMS-3000 watts peak. the rear speakers i would want to hook up only would be Alpine type S. SPS-619 coaxcil 3 way 260 watts peak 85 watts RMS. so with all that info i was wondering if anyone knew what would be the best amp to use with which speaker/sub set up.

I have a 300 watt alpine 4 channel amp powering 4 x 6.5" kenwood speakers. My speakers can take up to 170 watts each. I have to turn my gain up all the way on my amp in order to get a quality bass sound, which makes my amp heat up really fast. I was looking on ebay, and I found a 2,000 watt "american legacy" amp for 80 bucks..i know this amp isnt the best quality brand on the market, but with 2000 watts, I could keep my gain down really low and meet the ideal wattage for my speakers..and I'm thinking that this would keep the amp cool. Am I correct?.

The amp keeps blowing the two 15 amp fuses. We have all controls turned down below half way marks. The amp is running one sub. Power is supplied through a capacitor. Tonight we ran new wires to two 6 x 9 speakers in the rear deck. The 6 x 9's are hooked to the CD player, but not through the amp. The new wires allowed the amp to run for about 10 minutes before the fuses blew. This is 3 times as long as it has been working! Not sure why this would make a difference, but we are desperate to try to figure out the problem. Any thoughts?

Behringer amp Hi, I have recently brought a Behringer EP2500 amp but when doing a gig last night it kept clipping the music. I have 2 x 400 bass bins and 2 x 400 top speakers. In the end I removed the bass bins and was only playing through the top speakers but still it clipped a couple of times. At the moment I have been using the parallel mode throgh both channels. Beginning to think I haven't set it up correctly but I'm not too good with manufactuers jargon! I would be very grateful to anyone who can explain what my setup should be in plain and simple terms.
